One of the highlights of NY Fashion Week for us as a nail art rhinestone supplier, was seeing the upcoming trends and popular colours choices for nail art this year. Along with the usual nude tones and the sparks of bright ‘Vampy’ red and ‘Barbiecore’ hot pink, was the timeless sleek chrome finish. Flashes of shiny metallics were dazzling on the Tommy Hilfiger catwalk show. Whether it was silver, gold, copper, bronze or rose gold, the shiny metallic coating certainly made a statement.
Renowned nail artists Naomi Yasuda (CREDIT: Tommy Hilfiger nails above) and Holly Falcone both champion the fresh chrome finish as a Spring trend, and we’ve found the perfect nail art rhinestones to match. Try Zodiac Rose Gold for a pretty subtle pink/gold colour, Preciosa’s Aurum for a luxurious and expensive looking crystal, or Labrador – a bright metallic silver colour.
Gold
Metallic gold nail art is certainly still going strong, with Preciosa Aurum rhinestones and Zodiac gold metallic raindrop shapes leading the pack. Silver

Rose Gold
One of the most popular colours in the nail art and beauty industry, rose gold is a stunning metallic gold colour with a hint of pink running through it. Whether you are aiming to create a chrome effect manicure or not, rose gold is a popular choice among nail artists as it has an expensive feel without being too gaudy and over the top. Rose gold works with other metallic rhinestones as well as pinks, clear diamante and AB nail crystals. Dark silver/ Gunmetal
The perfect match to a dark silver gel polish would be Jet Hematite. This steely silver grey is almost black in colour but with a high shine finish. It is great for creating steampunk nails, or using with Labrador rhinestones to give an ombre effect.
Metallic colours
The term ‘chrome’ doesn’t just refer to metal colours such as gold, silver and bronze, but extends to other colours with a metallic sheen coating. Other metallic flatback rhinestones include peacock green which is two tone as well, giving it even more shine.
