Getting the best results

Prep the surface. Clean and dry it first, and remove any oils, fabric softener residue or dust
Use a small amount. Too much glue seeps around the stone and dulls the sparkle
Work in sections. Place your crystals before the adhesive starts to skin over
Let it cure fully. Most adhesives need 24 hours before wear or washing, so build that into your timeline
Wash gently. Turn garments inside out, use a cool wash and skip the tumble dryer
Ventilate. Solvent-based glues like E6000+ need good airflow while you work

What is the best glue for rhinestones?

What is Gem Tac glue used for?

Gem Tac is a universal, water-based adhesive for applying crystals, rhinestones, gems and embellishments to clothing, jeans, jackets, gym wear, evening wear, dancewear, Irish dance costumes and freestyle outfits. It is mess-free, easy to control and our most recommended glue.

Is Gem Tac glue washable?

Yes. Once fully dried, Gem Tac withstands washing. We would always recommend turning the garment inside out, using a cool gentle wash and avoiding fabric conditioner and using the tumble dryer to get the longest life from your embellishment.

What glue should I use for nail gems?

Use a dedicated nail gem glue, such as Crystal Fix, rather than a fabric adhesive. Nail glues are formulated to cure quickly on the nail plate and hold small flatback crystals and charms securely through daily wear.

How long does crystal glue take to dry?

Most crystal adhesives are touch-dry within a few hours, but allow a full 24 hours to cure before wearing or washing the item. Rushing this stage is the most common reason crystals come loose.

Can I return adhesives?

For health and safety reasons, adhesives cannot be returned or refunded once opened. Unopened adhesives can be returned in line with our standard returns policy on the Delivery and Returns page.
