Preciosa have just released a new range of unfoiled (see through) hotfix rhinestones, which now includes the standard colour range, as well as Clear and AB.
Transparent is a completely see-through crystal without a foil backing, enabling you to apply it to any colour surface and allowing the surface colour to shine through. It is ideal if you are unsure on which colour best matches your fabric, or if you simply want to add some subtle sparkle. Transparent crystals are very popular for adding sparkle to bridal wear and accessories.
Unfoiled, also known as Pure, crystals are completely see through, without a foil backing. Unfoiled crystals are great for applying to a surface that can be seen from behind, as it means the ugly silver foil backing won't be visible. For example, if you are embellishing delicate fabrics such as silk, netting, satin, mesh, chiffon, lace etc, the back of the crystal will be the same colour as the front.
