The Dolly Boards are an amazing tool for anyone wanting to decorate a stretch costume, including lycra, spandex, scuba and stretch velvet. If your fabric is 2 way or 4 way, this is the ideal tool for you. The board enables you to place your crystals, rhinestones, pearls and embellishments in a precise way, without the hassle of them falling onto the floor or moving.
The Dolly Boards work well with many different glues, including E6000+. With the Dolly Board you will be able to achieve more intricate designs when a leotard is stretched over the board, and fabric paint such as Jacquard will not crack on the human body, because it was applied to a stretched leotard in the first place.

The Dolly Boards are sent directly from the manufacturer in the UK and have an estimated delivery time of 3 to 5 working days. Getting the right fit
Dolly Boards are designed to fit a stretch leotard and stretch Lycra, not the human body, as our bodies do not stretch like Lycra does. Board sizes are a guide, designed to work with different body sizes and ages.

Leotard on the small end of the size guide? It can still be stretched over the board, because a good Lycra should stretch to five times its natural form without tearing.

Leotard on the larger end? Quilting pegs can be used to tighten the fabric at the sides, so you get a smooth flat surface for blinging.
The boards can take heat up to 125° Celsius, but you must avoid steam if ironing, and they are classed as formaldehyde free. Each one has a beautiful smooth finish and is lightweight with a handy carry handle, making it easy to carry from room to room.
Not just for crystals
The Dolly Board also makes attaching a non stretch skirt to a stretch leotard far simpler. Stretch the waist area across the hips of the board for maximum stretch, then attach your non stretch skirt. No more snapped stitches when the dancer tries their new costume on.
And sewing appliques on is made so much easier, because your needle hits the wood and not a mannequin or a cushion.
