What a wonderful weekend of Royal celebrations we’ve just had, and with all that pageantry, comes a display of fabulous frocks and beautiful headwear.

We’d like to say a huge congratulations to the talented milliners who created some stunning hats and headwear for the big event, including a very special piece by Jane Taylor. The Royals’ favourite milliner, and Crystal Parade customer Jane, made this beautiful bespoke floral inspired hairpiece for Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.
The handmade satin leaves are set on a metal headband and encrusted with flatback clear crystals, and single stone settings, which are sewn onto the satin fabric. Each leaf took around an hour to complete.
Described by the designer as a ‘labour of love’ the Royal hairpiece took eight hours to complete - so we say a big ‘hats off’ to all milliners out there who must have spent many days working on the regal headwear worn by other attendees on the big day.
