The UK’s premier online retailer of craft supplies, embellishment equipment and costume making materials has been very busy recently. The team at the Warwickshire-based company were commissioned to crystallise the house drape with Swarovski and Preciosa crystals for the recent pantomime production of Cinderella at the London Palladium.
The decor for Cinderella included a velvet drape measuring 32 metres wide and 7 metres in depth. It had to be laid flat on the floor, then crystallised with a starburst theme effect, which featured across the whole of the curtain. In total, the team at Crystal Parade decorated the drape with over 60,000 Preciosa crystals. Each crystal was placed by hand using the Crystal Katana pick up tool.
Many of the costumes and props were also decorated with Swarovski and Preciosa crystals. Crystal Parade also supplied plumes, feather boas, fabric, gems and bright acrylic shapes.
