Rhinestones

FAQS

Self adhesive gems for crafts are rhinestones with a ready to use sticky backing, so you can peel them straight from the sheet and press them into place with no glue or heat. They are designed for smooth, flat surfaces such as card, paper, glass and plastic, which makes them ideal for card making, scrapbooking, invitations and party decor. They come as individual stick on gems and as self adhesive strips for adding borders and lines of sparkle.

Self adhesive rhinestones are made for smooth, flat surfaces and are not recommended for fabric or anything that will be washed or worn. For clothing, costumes and dancewear, we would suggest hotfix rhinestones or non hotfix flatbacks applied with a suitable fabric glue, as these are made to withstand movement and laundering.

Self adhesive rhinestones have a sticky backing and are applied by simply peeling and pressing, with no tools needed, which makes them ideal for card, paper and craft projects. Hotfix rhinestones have a heat activated glue that bonds when warmed with a heat tool or iron, which makes them better suited to fabric and dancewear. For crafts, go self adhesive. For clothing that needs a strong, lasting hold, hotfix is usually the better choice.
