Choosing the right Preciosa crystals

Hotfix or non hotfix: Hotfix stones have a glue backing activated by heat, so they are quick to apply across large areas of fabric. Non hotfix stones are plain flatbacks that need adhesive, which makes them the right choice for nails, teeth, plastics, leather, heat-sensitive fabrics and anywhere you need total placement control.

Getting the size right: Preciosa crystals use the SS (stone size) system. SS6 (2mm) and SS10 (2.8mm) suit nail art and fine detail, SS16 (4mm) and SS20 (5mm) are the workhorses for costume and dancewear, and SS30 (6.4mm) upwards gives you real impact under stage lighting.
