Swarovski Nageldesign-Kristalle

FAQS

SS5 (1.8mm) is the go-to size for nail art and works for most designs, including clusters and cuticle work. SS7 (2.2mm) and SS9 (2.8mm) are better suited to accent nails where you want one or two stones to stand out.

It comes down to a clean, fully cured surface encapsulating the base of each stone. With gel, run a little clear gel around the edge of the crystal rather than over the top. With nail glue, make sure the base coat is completely dry before you place the stone, then leave it to set properly before top coating.

They're all non hotfix, which is what you want for nails. Hotfix crystals have a heat-activated glue backing that isn't suitable for use on the nail plate. Non hotfix crystals have a clean foiled back designed to bond with nail glue or gel.

Swarovski products are non-refundable, so we'd always recommend checking the size and colour carefully before you order. If you'd like a hand narrowing things down, get in touch and our team will talk you through the options.

Swarovski crystals are precision cut with a consistent facet pattern and a foiled backing, which is where that distinctive fire comes from. If you're working to a smaller budget, our Preciosa, Zodiac and Luna ranges offer excellent sparkle at a lower price point. Browse the full crystal nail art collection to compare.
