The use of rhinestones, caviar beads and pearls within nail art has been an ongoing trend in recent years, with new and innovative techniques and embellishments hitting the nail art scene every so often. As the UK’s leading supplier of Preciosa and Zodiac crystals for nail art, we like to keep on top the latest trends as well as come up with new products and spark the creativity of our customers.
We are proud to supply and collaborate with top nail technician Scarlett Senter, who over the years has wowed us with her crystal placement skills. We have a fantastic relationship with Scarlett and work with her to create new nail art mixes inspired by her life. No doubt about it, her ‘Wonderland Collection’ of crystal mixes took the beauty world by storm!
Scarlett is brilliant at creating nail designs based on current events, seasons, storybook characters and special dates in the calendar. Here we are going to look back at some of Scarlett’s recent designs using our Preciosa and Zodiac rhinestones for nails.
Wimbledon 2022
To celebrate the start of Wimbledon this year, we launched the ‘Strawberries & Cream’ mix which included various flatback non hotfix rhinestones in shades of red, pink, white and cream as well as some pearls and opals. Plus an enamel strawberry nail charm, which Scarlett used, along with silver caviar beads, to create this pretty set of nail tips.
Platinum Jubilee
In honour of HM Queen Elizabeth on her Platinum Jubilee, we created this stunning mix of red, white and blue crystals – the ‘Jubilee’ mix. Scarlett applied these flatback Zodiac gems and Preciosa silver squares using nail glue to create this fabulous ‘Proud to be British’ design.
Pride
Scarlett’s Pride inspired nails were made using Zodiac Rainbow Mix. We think she’s done a fantastic job of creating a standout set of nails using minimal sparkle, but still catching the eye. The iconic rainbow pattern on display, particularly during Pride months, means something to many people and offers a message of inclusion, solidarity, acceptance and celebration.
Breast Cancer Awareness
In October this year we supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the launch of our ‘Think Pink’ nail art mix, whereby all profits made were donated to charity. Scarlett made this beautiful design using the Zodiac crystals in the mix which included caviar beads, crystal shapes and flatback rhinestones in varying shades of pink.
Christmas
As recently as last month, Scarlett delighted the team at Crystal Parade by sending us this fabulous image of the ‘Festive Lights’ set she had created using our crystals. She really brings out the sparkle in the AB snowflake and flatback rhinestones by outlining them in silver caviar beads. This method is intricate and complex to do, but Scarlett makes it look effortless, and it really does enhance the overall design as well as bring that extra touch of festive sparkle!
