Choosing the right neon crystals for your project

All three of our neon ranges are glass flatbacks, so the choice comes down to budget, size range and how much sparkle you need across how big an area.

Preciosa neon crystals

Our premium neon option, cut in the Maxima shape for maximum brilliance. Preciosa gives you the widest size range in the collection, from SS5 (1.8mm) through to SS34 (7mm), in Neon Pink, Neon Yellow, Neon Orange, Neon Green, Neon Blue and two shades of Neon Violet.

Small sizes are available in wholesale packs of 1440, which makes this the range to reach for on large costume jobs. As an authorised Preciosa Silver Partner, we stock the range in depth. Preciosa neon is also the only neon we carry in hotfix.

Zodiac neon crystals

Our own brand and the best all-rounder for most projects. Zodiac neons have a durable foil backing and a scratch-proof coating, and they come in bright, punchy shades including Neon Pink Shimmer, Neon Yellow, Neon Sky Blue, Neon Blue, Neon Jonquil and Neon White.

This is also where you'll find our neon mixes and bumper packs, which start from just £1.18 and are ideal if you want to try the whole palette before committing.

Luna neon rhinestones

Our budget-friendly range, with 12 facets for a good, reliable sparkle at a lower price per stone. Luna is the one to choose when you need to cover a lot of ground, with large pack sizes right up to 1440. The Luna neon palette also includes our neon opal shades in Citrine, Hyacinth, Lime and Orange, which have a soft milky shimmer running through the colour and look beautiful under stage lighting.

FAQS

Do neon rhinestones glow under UV light?

Yes. Our neon shades are fluorescent, so they look bright and saturated in daylight and then really come alive under UV and blacklight. It's worth knowing they need a UV source to do it, so they won't glow on their own in a completely dark room.

Are your neon rhinestones glass or resin?

Glass. A lot of neon rhinestones sold online are resin or acrylic, which is why they can look flat. Preciosa, Zodiac and Luna neons are all genuine glass with cut facets, and most have a foil backing to bounce light back through the stone. We do carry a couple of unfoiled Luna limited editions if you prefer a softer, more translucent finish.

Can I get neon rhinestones in hotfix?

Most of the neon range is non hotfix, meaning you apply them with glue. Preciosa also produces neon in hotfix in the Maxima 15F and 18F cuts, which you'll find in our hotfix rhinestones collection. If you're working on fabric and want to avoid glue altogether, that's the range to look at.

What glue should I use with neon rhinestones?

For fabric and costume work, a flexible fabric-safe adhesive is best so the stones move with the garment. For nails, use a UV gel or nail-specific adhesive rather than a craft glue. Have a look through our adhesives range and get in touch if you'd like a recommendation for your specific project.

What size neon rhinestones should I order?

For nails and card making, stick to SS6 to SS12. For dance and costume work, SS16 and SS20 are the most popular sizes by a distance, and SS30 upwards is the usual choice for Irish dance and statement pieces.
