This year we’ve introduced a whole host of new Christmas nail art products including new innovative mixes, new shapes and festive nail charms. So if you’re looking for fresh new nail art ideas using rhinestones, here are some recent designs from our expert ambassadors.
Lisa Johnston - @lisajohnston_nailartist
Lisa’s used our new Cinnamon Spice mix of crystals to create this warm and inviting reindeer design. This mix of colours was inspired by winter evenings sat in front of the fire drinking a mug of hot cocoa. The gold peardrop shape sits perfectly on the nail, and looks gorgeous with the gold caviar beads added for extra detail.
In this pretty design, Lisa has used the Snow Fairy crystal mix to create a snowflake statement nail, which sits in a set of pastel lavender nails. The nails’ shimmering silver snowflake background are picked out beautifully by the pale lilac crystals in the mix. Lisa has kept the set simple by just decorating one nail with rhinestones, plus adding some of the clear crystals elsewhere for a touch of subtle sparkle.
Scarlett Senter – @scarlett_senternailartist
This throwback to one of Scarlett’s most popular designs is the perfect winter chic set. With a different design on each nail, including matte effect brush work, milk nail with glitter and a full nail of crystal pixie dust, Scarlett really brings the design to life with the addition of Clear and White Opal rhinestones.
In this class and traditionally festive look, Scarlett uses the Preciosa Christmas mix to create a stunningly neat Christmas jumper design. The Aurum gold crystals really catch the light well and they sparkle beautifully against the dark matte background. Twinkling rhinestones on a matte gel are a huge trend at the moment.
Another fun set from Scarlett, the Festive Lights crystal mix is a sophisticated twist on the tradition Christmas colours; Ruby red instead of bright red, rose gold instead of yellow gold with added AB snowflakes to really bring the bling.
The addition of Light Siam red and Light Topaz yellow rhinestones to this candy cane set of nails make the colours pop and brings the design to life. Scarlett has added further texture to the nails by doing a full glitter nail and swirls of white fine glitter.
We love the non-traditional feel of this snowflake design. Scarlett has brought a touch of the Barbiecore trend from the summer to these nails and we are here for it! Rose Opal is such a pretty colour and still has that wintery, icy feel about it – making it the perfect choice for a not so Christmassy Christmas set.
Natalie Mugridge - @NatalieMugridgeNailArtist
Nail artist and YouTube sensation Natalie is showcasing Preciosa’s new colour Cobalt Blue, teaming it with Clear and Aquamarine rhinestones, to embellish these cool blue bauble nails. Natalie has used a decal to stamp the image of the bauble onto the nails, and brought them to life by gluing on the small crystals. Natalie has used Crystal Fix nail glue which is great for adhering crystals, pearls, caviar beads, 3D shapes, nail charms and other embellishments to the nail.
Gemma Dawson – @gemma_dawson_nailartist
We love Gemma’s fun Grinch themed design using bright fluorescent gel colours and Zodiac neon green rhinestones. The classic Christmas film captures the imagination of people everywhere and it’s great to see it in nail art form! She’s made the Grinch himself the feature nail placed in the centre, with a symmetrical red pattern following through the rest of the set.
This pretty pastel Santa design is similar to the Grinch in that he is the focal point of the manicure, with the sparkly rhinestones and pearls bringing him to life. Gemma has attached AB snowflake crystals to the gel using crystal fix nail glue and scattered on some smaller AB rhinestones and flatback pearls too. Although it steers away from the traditional Christmas colours, the lighter more feminine shades are still bang on trend.
